To create a Curriculum Vitae in Portuguese, or in another language, there are no defined rules but there are established models. Let's see examples of Curriculum Vitae that can be more attractive.
The Europass model or the ones that several companies linked to this activity allow to use, helping to fill in, can be an easy way to do it, but it is a very used pattern.
It seems to be good practice not to follow a very vulgarized model. Adopting an architecture that can be customized according to the interest and personal taste of each one can make a difference.

It is natural that the curriculum of a design professional, knowledgeable in artistic tools, can have a more creative aspect.
But, for those who are not used to using design technologies, Word and its basic options are enough.
To make your curriculum more attractive, here are five tips.
Portuguese Curriculum Vitae, the Content
Using short paragraphs makes reading easier and clearer.
Using headings and subtitles allows for a more organized form.
Use bold to draw attention to very specific points that are important to reference but not overuse.
Use blank spaces between paragraphs.
We must not forget that normally a recruiter may have to read much more than a single curriculum, probably many dozens.
So, with luck, each of the candidates has very little time to capture your attention. So no matter how good your experience for the place is, you need 20 or 30 seconds to grab the reader's attention and get him to continue reading your resume.
The curriculum vitae is a means of capturing the recruiter's attention. Its purpose is to attract the reader and convey the message in an interesting and easy way.
As Commander Marques de Correia used to say, in 3/10/2020 Express, the “Lusopass” model is “aimed at people who do little or nothing, except being on social networks to socialize (as is their own)…”. It is certainly not our way.
Use Easy-to-Read Fonts
To create your curriculum vitae you can choose from different sources. However, keep in mind that you should only use fonts that are easy to read.
In the following example, we used the Cambria font for the texts, although Times New Roman is a good alternative because it is very readable.
For titles we can use the same font, but it can have more impact if we change it. However, you should avoid sans serifs, that is, those that do not have the ends of the letters, strokes or extensions. Examples of these fonts are Arial, Arial Black or Franklin Gothis Medium.
Let us then compare these two hypotheses.
In the first example of a curriculum vitae in Portuguese we always use the same font, Cambria, both in text and in titles.

In the example curriculum vitae below, we use Arial Black font for titles and subtitles and Times New Roman for the text.

Which seems to have more visual impact, better reading and highlighting the most relevant points?
Use Tables for the Presentation of the Professional Career
We had already addressed this possibility, replacing the more widespread text and leaving aside lists with marks or numbers and indentations or indentations in the margins of the text.
Let us first look at an example in which we create a curriculum vitae using formatting with marks, without using tables.

Instead of this type of formatting, we can use a table for the description of professional experience, using each column to describe the role, company, date and achievements.
The following example uses a table for the description of the professional path and with the Calibri font.

Use Logos of Companies or Institutions Where You Worked
Using the logos of the companies with whom he has collaborated, where he has been, can be a way to give a little more dynamism to the Curriculum. Visual language leads people to imagine themselves in the contact in question.
If you want to use this possibility, it is recommended that the logo image has a reasonable resolution so that it can be clearly seen when the curriculum is printed.
If the image is removed from the company's website, it is possible that the resolution is not adequate. If in doubt, download the image, place it on your Curriculum, adjust it to the size you want and print it. If the resolution is good, you can use the logo, otherwise, don't, as the impact you would like to have ends up being unfavorable.
We exemplify with the previous table, using Times New Roman in the text and Arial Black in the titles.

seems to have a greater impact and better readability.
Create Portuguese Curriculum Vitae with 1 or 2 pages
The 1-page model is for those who do not have much to say or who bet on a minimalist presentation.
The 2-page model is probably the one that best fits. It is more practical and has more space to present the history of the professional career.
Finally, we provide the “Word” document with the example on two pages that we presented and that you can download.
Use it at will and success in its use.
